Hey guys. So, today’s video is going to be my week’s 1 and 2 Nutrisystem update.
What did I think of the program? How do I like it? Am I skinny yet? What’s going on? That kind of update. I got the opportunity to try Nutrisystem out for three months and my first week was their Fast 5 program. The second week I started on the regular Nutrisystem diet. Also, I wanted to mention that they are not sponsoring me. I’m not receiving any kind of payment to say good things about them. I’m skeptical about these weight loss programs and I said this in a daily vlog. You always see the commercials for these kinds of things. An example would be, “Hi. I’m Susan and I lost 775 pounds in 30 days.” It’s not possible to lose that much weight so quickly. With weight loss and doing videos, if you’re losing weight, it’s going to show. I’m taking pictures of my weight on the scale so I have proof of my actual weight loss.
The first week I did the Fast 5 program. They say you will lose five pounds and one inch off your waist. I don’t know if they said that you will lose five pounds or you will lose up to five pounds. I had one cheat day. I didn’t cheat too bad. I just didn’t have a Nutrisystem dinner. We went over to Dave’s house and I had dinner. I tried to portion the dinner but the meal consisted of pork chops fried in oil and stuff like that. It wasn’t really the healthiest. I ate less than I normally do, but I don’t think I made the best choice.
With Nutrisystem, the food is really good and you have lots of options. I feel like I eat better than I used to eat. That was my problem before. I wouldn’t eat all day and then I would have a huge dinner. I would also snack throughout the day, and have a bowl of cereal at night. I wasn’t eating the best things and the way I was eating really worked against me. With Fast 5 they say you can lose five pounds your first week and even with my cheat day I lost five pounds my first week. When I saw that I was losing almost a pound a day, I couldn’t believe it.
I Lost 5 Pounds
My starting weight was 166.2. My final weight was 161.0. So, I actually lost 5.2 pounds. I was restricted with Fast 5. I would eat breakfast, the energizing shake, lunch, a craving crusher shake and then dinner. That was it. That week was hard because I couldn’t have any snacks or dessert. It was very basic. I wasn’t used to doing meal replacement shakes or anything like that. The first couple of days was kind of hard, but I still felt full. I was never really hungry. My problem never was overeating during the day. I wouldn’t have massive breakfasts, lunch and dinner and lots of snacks. That wasn’t my issue. If you’re going from eating tons of food during the day, you might have a little bit more of a struggle. But it wasn’t that bad for me.
This is my little booklet for today and I need to fill it out because I’ve already had my lunch.
I can have the Nutrisystem entree for breakfast and I get to have a PowerFuel. Everything is listed in the back of the book because I still forget a lot of the stuff I can eat. I can pick from choices like string cheese, yogurt, a glass of milk, cottage cheese, egg whites, and peanut butter.
I usually have breakfast and then a yogurt. I eat every two hours. I have a snack, which is another PowerFuel, then you have lunch. Lunch is another Nutrisystem entree and then you can have another snack, which is another PowerFuel. You can also have a smart carb. Smart carbs are things like whole grain roll, cereal, high fiber cereal, whole grain crackers, fruit, dried fruit, hummus, pasta, or a whole grain roll. Then you can have your Nutrisystem dinner and then you get dessert. On the last day of Fast 5 I told Dave that I could have dessert tomorrow. I told him I’m going to pick the most chocolate rich dessert and savor it.
If you watch my daily vlogs, I update often. I show what I’m eating for meals or snacks and I talk about how I’m feeling. There is also a bunch of other types of randomness that goes on over there. If you’re interested in checking that out, I will have that link below. I’m always promoting that.
Currently, I’m on my second day of week three and I’m feeling really good. I didn’t tell you how much I lost for the second week. The second week when I weighed in I was 161.0. My final weight was 159.6. I’m still 159.6. I was discouraged because I’ve been 159.6 for the last four days or so. I wondered why because I’m not cheating. I’ve been doing squats and jumping jacks. They were little workouts that get my heart rate going. It’s more activity than I was doing before. I’m not doing hardcore workouts, but I’m trying to be more active. It’s discouraging because I lost weight and now I’m hitting a plateau. Then I realized that I’m getting my period. I was looking in the mirror and asking myself why was I so bloated. Then my period came and I knew that was the reason for the plateau. In the past, I gained three or four pounds when I had my period. I’m curious to see if I’m really 159.6 or if I’m lower than that.
Overall, I have been enjoying the food. There are things that I prefer over other things. I think I covered everything about the program. This will probably be a lot longer than my other updates, but I wanted to talk to you guys about the start of the program. At the start of the program, it’s overwhelming, and it made me nervous. I wondered if I would be able to commit to the program, if I would like the food because I’m really picky. So I had doubts about being able to do the program. I didn’t know if it was going to work. I didn’t know if I would be able to stick with it even if it worked. But you guys know I would tell you the truth.
I took some before and after pictures. They aren’t like the ones you see on the Nutrisystem commercials, I just took them in my mirror. I’m going to show you guys how I look. You can tell me if I look skinnier or if I look the same. I’m down seven pounds in two weeks, which is crazy. I’m going to show you guys how I look.
I’m just going to show you what I look like with my shirt raised so you can see my stomach. There is no point in seeing me with a shirt covering my stomach. My maternity leggings decided to rip in the thigh area. They all have holes and little tears. I went out and bought these yoga pants leggings from Target. They are okay, but I feel like I’m not skinny enough to wear these types of clothes because when I pull the shirt over the pants, I think it makes my stomach look worse. I think I need to order more leggings, or should I wear these and just let it motivate me to lose more weight? I don’t know. Like I said before, I think I’m a little bloated so I’m not sure if you’ll be able to tell but seven pounds is a lot for 5′ 2″. Before, I could gain three pounds and you could see it in my face. A lot of people have been telling me in my daily vlogs that they can see that I have lost weight by looking at my face. So, that’s what I look like.
I feel like my love handles have gotten smaller. I feel like I don’t look as wide from the front, but not skinny yet. I’m only two weeks in though. So, that’s what I look like.
